About Me

Janica Buenconsejo.Metabolizing Oxygen and Expelling Carbon Dioxide since 1993.Geek. Bored and loving it.

Student at a University I am lucky to be in, and I attempt to write stories, poems, or songs during my free time (I’ll definitely post it here if/when I muster up the courage to show them to the world). I grew up listening to showtunes and classical music, love listening to it still. I am basically a walking redefinition of a frustrated writer/musician/theatre person.

This blog is the manifestation of my labyrinthine head (even scarier if it is personified, can you imagine?). I press random letters on the keyboard that eventually create a sentence. And I do that for about 15 minutes (sometimes 20…or an hour, but who’s checking). There are all kinds of stuff here, I try to make this place flexible (in which I’m failing already),trying to post different kinds of content. It’s like the fruit salad of blogs.

Well, anyway….Welcome to my head!

For more ( news, art, and all the other things geek, or you know, maybe you just want to talk)

    Hi Janica,

It is so refreshing to know that young people like you come to the CCP to appreciate opera. And hopefully you can come visit us again when we feature the other two operas in June and July. Perhaps you can also come and watch the season of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra which starts in Sept. we have so many other good events at the CCP maybe when you are free you can call my office and we’ll give you a personal tour of the bldg. our library,galleries.etc. call me at the Corporate Communications Division.
By the way, it would be also good if you could call me first so we can set the date and prepare for your visit.

    See you soon!

    • Thank you very much, Ms. Irene! I would love to get a tour of the CCP, I’ve always been curious about it. Although, I have to admit that La Traviata was my first live opera, and have been appreciating opera from afar (Youtube was a lot of help). I also have to admit that I had to do a bit of research before watching La Traviata. I used to be only interested in broadway productions, but after watching an opera live, it gave me a wider appreciation for the arts, most especially the arts scene here in the Philippines. I would love to share this with other people, and hopefully the opportunity that you have given me will do just that. I will call as soon as I am able to (or as soon as school ends). Thank you, Ms. Irene. This really made my day :D
